UFC President Dana White found it curious that Travis Browne seemed to run out of energy midway through the first round of his UFC on FOX 11 headliner, but offered a possible explanation.

That would explain a lot. Werdum was still the much better fighter tonight, rib injury or not though.

When, while showboating after taking a kick to the rib?

My thoughts too. A lot of the issues in MMA when a fighter breaks a hand or breaks a leg is the result of the other person. The other person caused that too you, he may have knocked you out or he may have broke your rib, reality is, that is no excuse for why you lost the fight. You never hear someone say they broke my jaw so that's too blame for why I lost the fight. Why is it any different when it's a rib?

The taunting was a little funny since it was on both sides, but nearly every time Browne tried to showboat he got clobbered. Good thing he can really take a punch or he'd have been humiliated like Anderson

Yeah it bugged me a bit. Dana made the comment about the rib so I don't think Hapa was attempting to use it as an excuse. From experience, a broken rib is fucking bad though.! If he fought with a broken rib then he just completely changed my thoughts on the fight. I can't believe how much Werdum has improved his striking, dude is now a legit threat anywhere the fight takes place!

I hope so, because he looked pretty terrible out there. I know Browne isn't a one round fighter, but he looked like one last night.
