Sorry folks, but Matt Brown just isn't all that impressed with the motley crew who currently reign atop the UFC's welterweight throne.

Ok Matt

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in the playground is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no props, and may the mods have mercy on your soul.

Agreed. An obviously choreographed 25 minutes.

I love Brown and he is really entertaining but he really needs to stop and think before he just lets things start flying out of his word hole.

He's obviously just trying to stay relevant while he's been out. I take it with a grain of salt. WAR BROWN! Get that title shot! Modern day Rocky!

I used to really think very little of Brown. It was very hand to respect a professional fighter with a gap in his game as big as the one he had (sub defense). However, he has clearly worked incredibly diligently on that as well as maintaining his striking game which was always brutally effective. I would give him the edge against Lawler, and I could see him actually beating Hendricks if Johny fought the way he did against Robbie. (However, when Hendricks fights as a more complete fighter, there is no active welterweight I'd pick against him.) I feel that I should note that in my memory there is no fighter yet that has beaten Brown in the striking aspect of a fight.

Matt is just trying to be a good MMA fighter. To do that today you have to have people talking about you for things you do outside the cage by being an attention whore.

I was thinking the same thing. All ready have tickets for FIght Night 40 in Cincinnati and I'm super pumped for Silva/Brown. Winner of that will shot up the rankings.

Matt Brown is a funny guy but this one was pretty far out there. Lawler has as many KO victories and Brown has total and Hendricks has been sending guys across the cage by just touching them and the guy had a torn bicep during the fight which surely took a great deal of punching power away. All that being said, Matt Brown has become a seriously threat to that title. I'm not sure how many people remember this but, a few years back, he lost four out of five straight all by submission but since then he has been on a tear. Not only has he been on a tear but he's fought guys who definitely have the ability to lock up a sub at a moments notice and he's kept himself out of trouble and beaten every guy. At the level these guys fight at the only explanation for that type of progress is a ton of training and it's clear that he's put in the time. I'd like to see him get a shot at the belt and see how he performs. This division is way more exciting than it was a few short months ago, and with GSP on the sidelines indefinitely (especially considering a recently torn acl) I am excited to see some of these gritty, hard working guys get a shot at the new champ.
