NATAL, Brazil – Renan Barao is targeting a summer return to action, and while he’ll wait for the UFC to officially name his next challenger, the UFC bantamweight champion has identified the man he sees as most deserving of the chance.

Provided he doesn't pull a hamstring while brushing his teeth or something.

I think Renan Barao also see's this as the most winnable fight for him to easily make a title defense and retain his belt. No offense to Assuncao, Barao is just on another level all together.

I think Assuncao should be next too. Faber and McDonald are below Assuncao considering both those guys had their chances already, Faber having 2 of them and McDonald recently lost to Faber so his rematch at Barao is a little ways away.
Dillashaw would be next in line after Assuncao. And even though Barao is the best in the Division he still needs to fight. Can't just not let the guy fight because he's better than the rest.

Not bad at all. Hope Assuncao can at least give us a good fight.

Honestly, I'd rather see Cruz get a tune up fight so this is the fight I'm pulling for next. Assuncao arguably lost to Dillashaw but there's no one else even near a title shot imo. Barao is cleaning this division out quickly.

This fight makes the most sense, Barao's beaten pretty much the majority of legit contenders right now and with Cruz having a warm up fight I see

Barao/Assuncao co-mains a PPV
Faber/Cruz 3 main events a Fight Night card
