I know this is fairly irrelevant and a whole lot of people probably don't care, but I finally beat Mike Tyson's punch out!! I'm not sure how many of you remember putting a painstaking number of hours into that game, but I decided recently to pick it back up and try to conquer it once more, and I made it to Tyson only losing one fight via decision (which I still call shenanigans on because I put bald bull on his but 5 times in that fight to his putting me down twice). In the fight with tyson I TKOed him at 2:59 of round three. I'm so damn proud of myself I just had to share it with the playground. Hopefully my victory can put the nitemares of the Tyson fight for those of you who have played it at ease. My victory is your victory!

Man that really takes me back. I played the hell out of that game back in the day. Bald Bull was a bastard until you got the timing of his charge down. I used to love going to war with Soda Popinsky and Super Macho Man, always seemed to go the distance against those two. Fighting Tyson was all manner of shenanigans, he whooped my ass hundreds of times before I finally smoked his cheap ass.

Congrats on finally reigning supreme.

I remember beating him, and just letting out a sigh of relief. I really should have been happy, but like you, after so many times of losing, I was just glad to be done.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in the playground is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no props, and may the mods have mercy on your soul.

Congrats man, that's a day from my childhood that I still remember really well. My cousin was so pissed off that I was the first one to beat him because we would take turns and he had consistently gotten closer than I did, but I ended up getting the job done and instead of celebrating with me he threw a hissy fit.

I beat him but only by decision.

I kinda remember losing a few decisions in a row then feeling I'd lost another one but it said "by decision the winner is mac" and I kinda felt like I robbed him.

Good game to say you've completed man, that shit took patience. Well done!

Never beat it...got so frustrated that I stopped caring. I have beaten everyone except for Iron Mike and in the end was proud to be the 2nd best fighter in the world.

I was content with that until recently, then I was like "You know what? Screw it! I'm going to be the best!"

I beat the game but I was late to the party and my copy didn't have Tyson.

Instead it was a guy with all his moves but with a new look and better record (99-0) with 99 ko's.

I believe his name was Mr. Dream.

Yeah, Mr. Dream is the new Tyson. He has the exact same tendencies, moves, tells, everything. They literally just changed his skin color and name. If I had to guess the change was due to legal reasons, but I don't know for sure.

From what I understand, they didn't do anything to make Mr. Dream easier either, he's the same difficulty Tyson was, which is pretty damn difficult. if I hadn't tko'd tyson when I did I'm sure I would've lost a decision. He was about to due the tyson rush and started it with something like 2:37 left in the round and I knew I couldn't dodge it all and still have time to drop him again so I let him floor me so I could get up with more health and hopefully he'd give me openings, which he did.
