I have to agree, she would armbar his ass and I'd be pretty happy. I'd also be happy if he knocked her out.

If she got her hands on him, she'd sub him in less than 15 seconds. Buuuuut, I could see him pop that jab & land a few combos & turn her face into hamburger meat. Depends on how smart he fought & how damaging his punches are. I think he gets the tko with a smart fight

I think the ref stops the fight before that happens

She latches onto him

Set it up. Two birds would be killed with one stone.

Someone would finally shut Ronda's mouth and Floyd would finally finish a fight.

Rousey would win 1st sub.

Boxing has no answer for the butt scoot. If you're close enough to punch then you're close enough to get tripped.

Styles make fights and good grapplers beat pure strikers 10 times out of 10. Royce proved this to the world in the first 4 UFC's.

A picture says a thousand words.

Ali tried climbing out of the ring to escape the butt scoot.

Inoki would've wrapped up the sub in no time but grappling wasn't allowed

Boxing also has no answer for the flying drop kick

Can't land a punch from that far away

Genki beat a lot of great kickboxers too.

In a cage I'd agree with Ronda. Floyd would have a better chance with MMA rules in a ring due to familiarity and it being easier to avoid the clinch.

As others have said though. Make it happen, as to see Ronda get KO'd or Floyd subbed would make my year.

Butt scoot isn't part of mma any more. Ref would stand them up. Not to mention that whole gender portion of the conversation.

That's actually not true. You'll get called on it as a stalling technique. However, if you are actively pursuing, there is no issue.

BS. They don't even let you sit down any more without telling you to stand back up.

And sadly, this is working its way into grappling tournaments as well. You now lose points in NAGA for pulling guard without grips, which used to be incredibly common and effective.

Anyway, on topic, I think Rousey would snap him like a twig.

Yeah I guess we really never see anyone flop then push the pace though. I'm kinda doubtful it would be effective for many with dudes able to tee off and not worry much about return strikes. Up kicks sure but your not really pushing forward and kicking at the same time. Now I want someone to crab walk to the center of the octagon.
