Despite rumors saying Michael Bisping will fight UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock at September’s London UFC event, The Ultimate Fighter 3 light heavyweight is still scheduled to face his original rumored opponent, Matt Hamill.

That’s the word from the ever-credible Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer.

It does not matter which of the two that Bisbing is against he will come out with the victory. He is too skilled of a fighter for both of these opponents. Not taking anything away from Shammy, but he is past his time and should be working with the new generation of mma stars to get them ready for 'The Show'. I would love to see Shammy come back and kick some guys ass, but the odds of him winnning against a top ranked fighter now are not that high. It is going to be a great fight between Bisbing and Hamill, but I think that bisbing is the better MMA fighter then Hamill and will come out on top.

This is good news. I think Hamill will put up a better fight than Ken would have. I will be cheering for Hamill.

Hamill will definitely put on a better fight than Ken, but Hamill still needs a few years to develop his game.
