For the first since November 2011 – a span of more than two years – former WEC bantamweight champion Miguel Torres is back in the winner’s circle.

As much as I like Torres, I've gotta be fair, Torres had one of the most padded combat sports records, perhaps ever. He had a lot of talent, but before fighting in the WEC, he was fighting bad fighters, and a lot of them. of the 33 fighters he faced before the WEC, 8 of them had their first and last MMA fights in a loss to Torres, the average number of pro fights of his opponents was less then 7, over half of the 30 different fighters didn't have winning records before fighting Torres or after.

Torres opponents records when their fight together was over:
0-1
1-2
0-1
4-1-1
2-1
3-1
0-1
1-1
0-1
2-5
0-1
3-1
5-2
3-2
0-1
4-6
0-1
11-4-1 - Miguel's first and only loss in his first 38 fights.
4-2-1
3-2
12-5-1
3-5
16-16-1
12-8
10-5-1
8-3
3-7
4-6
4-4
1-1 This epitomizes Torres early career to me. 32-1 fighting against a guy 1-1.
Total: 125-103-6
Average: 3.8-3.1-.2
Conclusion: Padded record.

It wasn't that Torres was bad, it was that he was no longer fighting guys obviously not on his level.

And his opponent was 4-6 by the way, just thought to add that. God, and to think...Mir used to brown-nose that guy during all his fights!

Either way that's good for Miguel I still think he is too old to make a real comeback to the UFC but he might be able to get another fight in WSOF or Bellator.

Its so surreal how far he dropped. Yeah his record was padded but man I loved watching him go to war on WEC! I watched WEC because I knew anytime him or Faber were fighting it was must see TV! Of course their were plenty other awesome fighters but its sad seeing these two fighters struggle tho Faber only does in title fights.
