He did nothing but turtled up and flashed a thumb...sorry 15 unanswered is enough for me to just accept it.

I think it was the look that barao gave herb dean helped him stop it, whilst he was hammer fisting

I would have to agree with that as well

Unfortunately, Herb should know better than to let something like that sway his decision.

Early stoppage IMO, but oh well.

Faber: "Get Dillashaw in here to finish my dirty work."

Rogan: "...or Chad Mendes."

Faber: "He's a weight above."

Rogan: "Oh yeah, I'm retarded."

Great stuff. Also, did anyone else notice Buffer introduce Barao as the "featherweight" champion?

I have to follow the action on BleacherReport, so I just get hearsay until I can see the fights...

Ariel Helwani ? @arielhelwani

Faber: Herb is one of the best refs in the game and I don't want to take anything from Barao but I wasn't out.

Indeed. A rare fuck up on Herb's part.

Turtling up is different. Holding on to a leg so he doesn't spin to your back and covering against the shots is defending.

Those unanswered hammer strikes to Faber's gloves were impressive

Was that the 'Move of the Fight?'

That's a tough one. Faber went from completely flattened out to turtling up and doing nothing.

From Herb's point of view, it probably seemed like Faber was out and fighting on instinct. He probably should have let it go on and probably should have moved to get a different angle. The look from Barao obviously affected the call.

So not a great call IMO but its also understandable.

Makdessi vs. Patrick scorecard. Looks like Almeida wasn't our savior after all.

For a car that featured only two stoppages in 12 fights, I thought it was pretty solid. Some terrific performances put on byt some of these winners, some good competitive fights. Best 10 Decision Card .... EVA?
