UFC president Dana White feels the time may be right for Jose Aldo to make the move to 155 pounds and face UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis. 'It would be awesome,' says White

this would be a great matchup. and I think it has the best chances of actually happening unlike silva vs jones or silva vs GSP did. I think if pettis comes in at 100% he can knock aldo out.

He's gotta get past Lamas first.

Aldo has been champ for awhile now.
Makes sense. 145 class is stacked.
Bj Penn for champ

Aldo has contenders still... Swanson is at UFC 169. Jeremy Stephens is looking good. Mendes deserves a rematch. Plus, love him or hate him, Conor MacGregor could be a contender with a couple W's after he returns. That's just off the top of my head.

I would like to see Aldo at 145 for just a little longer, unless he can not make the cut and feel good about it anymore.

Not buying it. When is the last time a dominant champ changed divisions?

I'd like to see it.

Sure, there are some guys back at 145. But that's the whole reason we never get to see these fights. They make the champ wait to long. The division will NEVER be completely cleared out.

Have some of those 145ers fight it out to see who the real number one contender is in the mean time.

From 155 down is only 10 pounds. It wouldn't surprise me to see someone come along very soon and hold a couple titles at the same time in the lighter divisions. If that's allowed in the ufc I don't remember hearing anything different. I can remember when Henderson held the WW and MW titles at the same time back in his Pride days.
