Important question: Will money be reset at the beginning of every season?

As of now, yes, we plan to reset the bankrolls every season. Everyone's past history, event and season earnings, etc, will all still be accessible via the website though so that your past accomplishments will still be visible to everyone.

If we don't reset the bankrolls every season then we won't be able to give wagering prizes as the system would heavily favor those who got in on the action early in the game.

I can only imagine the crazy numbers that folks are gonna be throwing around come event #10 of the season lol

Great record by the way Goetz

Yeah, Goetz is a psychopath! Only player who made top 10 in points AND top 10 in wagers. Mad props to Goetz, seriously.

yeah event 10 could be crazy every one will be wagering on a big underdog to move them up on the top 10.

but with the new system if you wanna bet on the favourite you wont earn as much as betting on the underdog + the fact that you might want to bet on more than 1 bout...spreading around your money = earning a not so significant amount because you spread around your money

if you get what i'm saying

like let say the event features:

fedor vs eddie sanchez

gsp vs jason tan

randy vs shannon ritch

cro cop vs tim slyvia

anderson silva vs chris leben

...it's not smart to be betting on the underdog for this event
and your bankroll is $1000 so you put 200 on each and the odds are -680 for the favourite...you are only going to earn $29 if the favourites win...that's $145 together

yeah i get what your saying but thats just it if you take a risk and go for the underdog then you can make some big cash. if you go for the so called safe bet then you don't make as much. i think odds in mma are abit to much and i coudl make alot of wagers this year on underdogs even if i'm not picking them to win. plus now if it's all house wagering then when you set in your wagers other player should be able to see them. and if you don't want other ppl to see till after the event you can hide them or just don't sumit them to right befor the cut off if it's a big deal to you. cause i would like to see who other ppl in my camp are putting there cash on.

Wow. I know that I realize that this site isnt here for the sole enjoyment of myself only... The question is... Do you guys?

Give them a break, this change was obviously well thought out, and by people who have more at stake than we do. Great changes. But, you know what? Even if I disagreed, Id realize that my complaining isnt going to magically revert everything back to the old ways, and erase all the work they put into the change. So, I would probably learn to love the new system.

And as far as the wagering keeping me on this site? Its a great bonus, but I come here for the solid forums. Everyone has their interests, remember that!

Lets say Superman is fighting the Hulk. The odds read as such:

Superman -120
Hulk +165

Essentially that means, that if you pick Superman, you have to bet 120 dollars to win 100 dollars if he wins. If you pick the Hulk, you bet 100 dollars, you win 165 dollars if he wins. The negative is the favorite, the positive is the underdog. Hope this helps.

You guys are bein a bit harsh, they put a lot of work into this and the fact that its free to play and we still can make money is great. i dont need to rub it in my friends face. you can still rub it in if you made the right pick and he didnt. i mean out of every player on this site i got screwed the most and im not complainig. I would have started off with about 11k and could have cruised the first couple of events and maybe the whole season makin tons of cash(both real and fake) the house betting makes it more fair. You guys can start your own site if its that bad. its one thing do disagree, but your makin this into a big issue.

That is from the top man right there!!!!!!! This is the only way it can be done.

I personally want to thank anyone involved with the site rehaul. I know that MANY of my suggestions are now involved. From camps to the betting. Thank you to me!!!

i like the new betting system although being from the uk the numbers were a little confusing (as we have a simplier odds system) but the help page was fantastic...
i do hope in the future they bring back the personal bets because these were great fun when you won (not so great when you lost ...lol...)
but all in all i think the changes are a good thing

Saw "Fight Companion" today. Creative idea. Sucks that I don't have a printer.
