This fight would be close, I can't say with 100% certanty who I think would win (execpt the fans ofcourse) I think Chuck has the heavier hands and better takedown defence, Silva better cardio, and knees. I'd give a slight edge to Silva for just being more well rounded.

I don't know if I'd say Chuck has heavier hands, Rampage walked through his punches but vs Silva in the second fight it was a right hook that almost melted Rampage's face. As for the TD defense, that will have no play in this what so ever.

Why would you say that? Silva at one point tried to take Tito down in there fight, if he gets rocked it'd be the smartest thing for him to do

It would be the smartest thing to do but I don't know if he will. I would expect to see them bang but who knows, he did take it to the ground at 33 against Hendo. I don't see him trying to submit Chuck though so this whole "His BJJ is better" plays no part in this. He will want a KO/TKO.

Plus I think he tried to take down Tito so that he wouldn't have to chase him anymore

everyone expects them to bang, but everyone expected baroni to bang with that japanese boxer, everyone expected butterbean to bang with zulu.

some things just dont happen

IF silva can get a clinch then he will score huge points and tons of damage. on the ground i think silvs takes it. as far as striking goes, chuck has both the advantage and disadvantage

i know it sounds so dumb

but chuck loves when a guy comes at him so he can counter -wand will come at him

chuck has a hard time with good strikers, ie mezger (almost knocked out liddell) rampage (obvious)

oveream even gave him a run, but not for long
and randy had great hands in the first fight, but over commited the next two

great fight that could genuinely go either way

i am a huge Lidell fan. always have, always will be. i just have this to say.....
I agree about Wanderlei , but Chuck hits so damn hard its like a wrecking ball flying at you. If Silva gets hit once with a clean shot look for the lights out!

that's not fair to say Rampage is a freak of nature. How many knees did it take for him to go down from silva. Knees hurt more than fists!
