Despite his recent losing streak it looks like Siyar Bahadurzada will be making his way back to the Octagon within the year.

I dont think this one makes any sense. If Bahadurzada wasnt from Afghanistan he would be cut.

This guy is overrated, knocking out Paulo Thiago was an accomplishment but that KO was a result of Thiago's mistake, not Siyar's skill IMO. There is no way he should have been the vegas favorite against Howard, and he looked horrible against Kim. I cant complain too much, I won 200 bucks betting against him in the Howard fight, but I think he needs some time in the minor leagues to complete his game. The UFC offers him nothing but a chance to tarnish his record and expose his weaknesses on a big stage. He is lucky he is from an emerging market for Zuffa.

This also comes as a bit of a surprise to me as well. Especially being a 4 fight deal.
They need to match Siyar up with other fighters that are primarily strikers.

If he is being kept to use for a Middle Eastern push then they may want to give him more favorable match ups. I think it is the absolute last market they should be pushing for personally, I would keep the focus in Latin America instead of just Brazil, also the same with Asia instead of just Japan and South Korea.

He had a bit of hype coming in, then the planking KO of Thiago, which we all realized was more of Thiago, on the decline more than anything, based on Siyar's fights after. I definitely agree he needs to fight the primarily stand up fighters.

And this post was at 420
