The tenth season of Bellator MMA is beginning to take shape and the Viacom-owned promotion recently released the heavyweight tournament bracket, showing what path each participating fighter will need to take to receive a heavyweight title shot.

The right side of this bracket looks a lot tougher overall.

I'm gonna have to go with Volkov vs Ivanov to close this tourney. If these two make it to the finals id rather see Ivanov win. Not really ready for Minakov vs Volkov 2, at least not yet.

As good as this tournament is I think they could've made it a little better by adding Raphael Butler in for Mighty Mo.

Where exactly is Kongo floating around in all of this? Does he fight Minakov at some special event and then the tourney winner fights the winner of that fight?

That is correct. Kongo beat Peter Graham in the weak 4 man tourney from last season.
If I remember correctly Graham got a pass to the finals after Spartan was injured.
Kongo should get slaughtered by Minakov very quickly in their fight. They probably headline a future event or maybe be on the Main Card of Bellators alleged PPV that they are talking about again that will be headlined with Alvarez/Chandler 3.

Big Johnson better be real careful in this one. Since my first time watching Ryan Martinez he's improved a great deal. I can't say the same about Johnson.

Awesome, I like all those fights. Much better than their past HW tourneys.

I hope Ivanov wins after all he's been through the past few years.

Mighty Mo is better at MMA than he gets credit for, I'm glad they included him but it would've been awesome if they got LeBanner in there instead.
