Daniel Cormier is a big favorite for his UFC 170 fight against Rashad Evans ... perhaps too big.

This is going to be an AWFUL fight. And seeing how Rashad wins all of these kind of fights obviously the odds makers are on the Cormier hype train that's about to get derailed

I agree with DC. I wouldn't expect Evans to be the favorite but for DC's first fight at LHW this is a tough one. The thing that made DC so good at HW was a significant speed advantage he has over guys like Bigfoot, Mir, Barnett etc. Against Evans he'll be at a speed disadvantage plus a striking disadvantage. DC will have a power advantage and he'll be the better overall wrestler. The big X-factor to me will be his weight cut. If he loses a bunch of stamina and fades fast I could see Evans pulling off the upset. Also it's gonna be interesting to see if DC will be able to wrestle Evans down. Rashod has a very nice wrestling background too. I think it is good enough to keep DC off of him for the most part but I could be wrong.

At the end of the day I'll probably pick DC but will not be surprised if Evans pulls this off. If I had to set betting line on this one id have DC at about a-175 favorite. Winner here probably gets the next title shot.

I figured it must be -400 or something when I saw the headline.

If the cut doesn't negatively impact his ability to fight the way he plans to until the final bell, -280/+200 could be about right.

DC is overrated and Rashad's going beat him in a boring fight. Cormier's only impressive win was against Josh Barnett and since then he's beaten two guys in the only boring fights on those shows and both guys were coming off losses. I think Rashad's going to end this hype train and shut a lot of people up.

Yeah, I'm not sure how you could say DC is over rated and expect anybody to take you seriously. Guy knocked off 3 top 10 HW's in Silva, Barnett, and Mir with little issue.

Yeah to say that DC is overrated is a bit of a stretch.
But based off of their styles and a couple of other intangibles this could play out in Rashods favor. Very tough test for DC.

Do not get me wrong, I think Rashad has a chance (VERY little). I was more or less, just reacting to his posts (Wallass) past two days, on this thread, and the diaz thread. Just ridiculous comments on his behalf.

I think the odds should favor DC slightly, but in the end, odds don't mean too much, their set to stimulate gambling not accurately gauge potential competitiveness and they constantly are readjusted based on betting habits when nothing about the actual fighter has really changed. Vegas odds are fine how they are, but if the odds were to represent in a more real manner I'd say DC -130, Evans +110.
