The fucked up thing is Kang needs a finish to win. With the 10 pt must system Shimizu won the 1st Round 10-8. Unbelievable.

Not necessarily. First round was 8-9 after the deduction, then two 10-9s is 28-27 Kang.

Perceval should never ref again he was booed all night long at Fight Night 33 for his dumb shit

I thought in a 10pt must scoring system that at least one fighter had to score 10pts.

So that would be 10-8 1st Round for Shimizu. The reason they stressed that Kang needed a finish about 20 times. Or a 10-8 round for himself.

Not complaining with the finish since I had Kang.

Yeah, Stann needs to work on his math and Perceval needs to work on a new career.

Agreed, I'm surprised Stann was so adamant about Kang needing a finish when he still would have won had it gone to a decision.

Nah in the Caceres/Figueroa fight at 143 they had a 9-8 round as well

It's only a 10-must barring deductions. Either way though, a 2-point deduction can't make up for a 1-point advantage x 3 rounds.

I agree about Perceval.

But I disagree on Stann's math. If the fight would've gone to the judges and Kang won the 2nd and 3rd rounds 10-9 that would make a draw 28-28.

In the 10 point scoring system the winner of the round gets 10pts.

the two point deduction was stupid. Good thing it didn't matter kung look great. I look forward to seeing what he's got for the rest of the division in the future. He deformed shImizus face.

Joey Martinez equals the reason why this is the best UFC of the year so far.

I guess we'll never know. But in the official rules I seen nothing about 10-must barring deductions. I only saw that the winner of the round gets the 10pts.

Yeah this is an unfortunate ending but those elbows were clearly illegal.
