Listen to the red corner audio from Saturday's UFC 168 main event where the champ's camp had some choice words for the fallen foe.

Classy. No matter what Weidman does he'll never be out of Silva's shadow so I can sort of see the resentment but this is a shitty comment. I hope the guy who said it meets Anderson one day. I'd laugh while he pisses himself with fear.

Personally I think Weidman was terribly disrespectful and callous as well. As soon as Silva went down with an obvious horrific injury Weidman put his hands up and ran around the cage happy. Weidman and his corner showed nothing but apathy and disrespect. Personally I thought Weidman was disrespectful and callous at the post fight press conference as well. It's cool though....both of his wins against Silva, who is undoubtedly the greatest MMA fighter ever should have asterisks next to them as neither win was completely legit.

So basically all Knockouts that happen after a dominant first round should have asterisks by them?
Imo it would make morr sense using that logic to make all Knockouts happening under 15 seconds with an asterisk next to their W

Sorry Karl, but being mad at Weidman for celebrating in the first moments after his all consuming goal for months had been reached is silly. Its no different than Rousey being pissed at Tate for celebrating her fighter upsetting Basler on TUF. Nothing wrong with celebrating a win for a few moments, and we all saw Weidman go kneel beside Silva right after that. I wont make any excuses for comments from his corner, but Chris did nothing wrong.

it's an emotional sport, and I can say from first hand experience, that sometimes you do things immediately after the fight that you end up regretting. I have never said anything disrespectful after a fight, but I did run my face straight into the cage like an idiot after getting a big KO. about an hour after the fight my face was fucking hurting from the cage worse than any punch that my opponent landed. unfortunately for weidman, he's in the big spotlight, and everybody was already feeling sorry for silva and his broken leg. weidman will probably not live this one down for a while, and it was definitely the wrong thing to say

Are you kidding me? Neither of those wins could have been more clear and concise as to the winner. Fuck outta here with that shit.

I hate to disagree. But Weidman celebrating is way different than when Tate celebrated. First Julianna Pena actually beat Basler fair and square. There's nothing wrong with Tate celebrating that her friend won. Yeah I know I watched both Weidman/Silva fights Weidman won by Ko the first fight and he won the 1st round of the second fight, I get all that. But it was in poor taste to celebrate after Silva Probably ended his career with that injury. I hate to use this example again but most recently Clint Hester defeated Dylan Andrews via injury Tko. Hester was truly upset that the fight didn't get to continue and would have preferred beating Andrews by Ko or Decision rather than injury default.
It just seems like to me Weidman would've gotten much more out of this fight if he beat Silva any other way than via injury.

personally for me, it's bad taste to celebrate a win after a freak injury… but that's just me, just don't see how you can be excited for getting a win like that… id be pretty pissed if i was weidman just because many ppl won't see it as a legitimate win plus after a seeing a guy having a freak injury; it's pretty messed to say fuck him

Oh my god a New Yorker saying "F**k Him", oh my lord tell the authorities!!!
Personally I find it hilarious that people are trying to make Weidman look bad for doing what he's suppose to do. Weidman doesn't have a bad bone in his body, sure he beat's people up for a living but outside the octagon he's a great person. Listen to his interviews about stuff outside the octagon, really just great a person.
Also, at least Weidman's corner didn't fart!
