Shane is not dead. Uncle Creepy says he's still on life support via twitter.

R.I.P Shane. I think he died doing what he loved, and at the top of his field, surrounded by loved ones. Thats mostly what matters.

EDIT: If he's not dead, I take it all back, get back in the cage and entertain me,gladiator (joke)

Kind of a confusing article... Shane's not actually dead yet.

What are you confused about?
"Heavyweight Shane Del Rosario has died after suffering sudden cardiac arrest at his home on Tuesday morning."
Did I miss something?

According to Uncle Creepy he's still on life support.

Well hopefully for him, his family and friends he's still alive.
Doesn't sound good though. I hope the best.

I just got done reading an article that says Del Rosario is still alive but is not responding to his treatment. The doctors are giving him a full 72 hours before making a final decision. Family and friends are being called to say their goodbyes.

Here's the article.

Sad to hear. Uncle Creepy has gone through a lot of adversity over the years unrelated to fighting and now finds his friend/teammate/roommate on the floor after a major heart attack. Sounds like there is no brain activity still and the family wants him to go out with dignity instead of on machines, so they intend to have the plugs pulled later today (Friday) barring `something miraculous`. RIP Del Rosario It's a part of life. Reminds us that we can't procrastinate... gotta live each day like it's our last.

Very sad and unexpected news. He always came to fight win or lose and went out on his shield, a true fucken warrior.

He'll probably be on life support a few days with multiple tests to see if his organs can be donated, if he is a donor. That's typical protol. So his day of death may be a day or two, before he's actually taken off life support.

No clue. I'm sure they'll do an autopsy and we'll find out. I think CSAC requires heart checks in their pre-fights so you'd think they'd notice a defect, but I'm no doctor either.
