With Dana White contesting the admission of "Funky" to the UFC, the former Bellator champ puts out a big offer.

Askren is just trying to draw attention to himself and talk himself into a fight in the UFC.
I'm still high on Rory MacDonald and when push comes to shove if Askren did get the opportunity to fight Rory, he wouldn't do it for free, at least I don't think so.
If you ask me he's talking out the side of his neck since an instant Title shot at this point is history.

Not a fan of Rory especially after the Ellenberger fight. Id love to see Askren grind on his face for 3 rounds. Rorys a big step up from Heroin or anybody else hes fought.

If Rory had the same fire he had against Diaz and Condit the first two rounds that Condit seemed to take manhood of in the third round, I think he could punish Askren and stop him. Even playing for points which seems to be his new style hed probably be still be the favorote to win on points unless Askren desparately improves his boxing.

The problem in the UFC is hes not fighting a bunch of strikers with little to no wrestling like in Bellator. These WWs either are or train with the best wrestlers Iin the world. Id have a hard time seeing him beat Woodley, Shields, Maia, or even Kos.

Maybe thats it! Dana wants Kos to embarass Askren. Maybe thats the plan!

i'll say it again..if i was Dana i still wouldnt sign Askren..u release Jon Fitch who is 10x better then Askren..so why would u sign Askren who isnt quite on Fitch's level..Dana trying to get rid of fighters who boring decision or LnP their way to a win..Dana fed up with that shit..if u aint exciting u have no place in the UFC in Dana eyes..i highly doubt Dana will sign this dude..i'm almost 100% sure of it..

Ben Askren is an undefeated top ten WW that continues to improve. Fitch is past his prime and has 2 wins in his last 6 fights.

If the UFC is supposed to be where the best fighters in the world come to compete then they need to sign Askren.

Kind of harsh bro...be careful of the site rules, you know...
Personally if the UFC doesn't sign him now then they will as soon as he gets a few more finishes. He finished his last two opponents who were probably his best ever competition too so I do see a lot of improvements.

I'd like to see the UFC just go ahead and sign Ben already.

I don't think he'll be fighting Rory in his debut, but I'd say he has, at the very least, done enough to earn himself a shot in the major league.

If he couldn't beat Lawler no way in hell would Rory Boy beat Askren.
