Dan Henderson spoke to Heidi Androl last night after his loss to Vitor Belfort and from the sounds of it he has no interest in talks of retirement.

It's always a little sad when one of the greats (and one of my favorite fighters of all time) start on the downward slide to their career. Hendo has earned the right to continue to fight, but if he starts getting KOd with 1 punch on a regular basis aka Chuck Lidell, becomes a stepping stone for new comers to make a name for themselves, or becomes irrelevant like Tido, then I hope he retires sooner than later. Whatever happens, he will go down as one of the greatest of all time, who always showed class, win or lose. True legend.

I second this statement and I'm a Dan Henderson Hater

Putting that aside though the man is a LEGEND of the sport I love and I will definitely never forget who Dan Hendo Henderson is.

Thats his first KO loss. Give it a little, he's already proved he can fuck people up even as an old man

TRT Belfort could knock out a hippo, so I don't think much less of Hendo after last night's fight... He just got caught.

He's not quite the fighter he used to be, but he was still competitive in his 2 prior losses (Evans & Machida). I think he's got more fight in him... and he's better than a gatekeeper

I was really disappointed by the fight. Hendo made a really really awkward and amateurish entry. It almost looked like he was scared of Belfort.

Good on Belfort for capitalizing on the opening, but I'm 100% sure it would have been a more competitive fight if Hendo had settled in a little better first.

I disagree, you're done buddy, you are not a title contender. Maybe a few super fights and then its time to call it a day.

putting on my KFM hat for a moment:

Hendo knew he was no where near a title shot anymore and Vitor is waiting for his. So being a good company man, and probably paid under the table, he decided not to win and give Vitor another victory. Vitor barely touched him and he dropped...how does that happen with someone with a chin like that?

In what way is he done? 2 close sd losses and firsttime finished via strikes means he is done? Give it some time

I just don't want to see him go out like the Iceman.

It took a few strikes to put him away, I would in no way say he's lost his chin, has everybody forgotten that Jake Shields beat him, he's been on the decline for some time. Still got a sluggers chance but everybody plans for him.

Chin has nothing to do with it.

There isn't a human being on the planet who could have eaten that kick and not gone unconscious.

I think its more about the initial punch that dropped him which lead to the kick

That punch might have rocked him, but I think off balance was a factor there as well. Hendo was leaning way forward like he does when he throws his right hand. After the punch, he was still very much awake and fighting back.
