February's UFC 169 event has not one, but two headlining title contests as UFC featherweight champ Jose Aldo? meets top contender Ricardo Lamas? and UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz? makes his long-awaited return to the octagon for a unification bout with interim title holder Renan Barao?.

I can't wait to see Cruz get destroyed by the real champ.

SpiderSilva, you still down for the AV bet?

Good news for me

Bad news for Chicago fox

They aren't getting a title main event.

And Vegas Feb will either get Jones vs texeira
Or Cain vs werdum

If Castillo and Alcantara can knock out Lamas, Aldo will give us a highlight reel finish. I'm not saying he does not deserve his shot though.

That is an amazing PPV Main and Co-Main, IMO. The shot is well earned in Lamas' case. As for the Bantamweight title, it's hard to think of Dominick Cruz as anything but the challenger, although he really is the true champion at this point. That fight has some great buildup to it.

Can't wait for this one

The real question to me is how much ring rust is Cruz going to have? He may find himself on the losing end of his favorite victory method (fear the Decisionator!) if it takes him a couple of rounds to really get comfortable and get going.

If Cruz wins this I think it goes down as the most impresive win in ufc history. Coming back from 2 years off to beat the person many consider the "real champ" after blowing his knee out twice. No exaggeration it would be the most impresive win ever imo.

& I'll tell you what I won't count Cruz out he's a true champion at heart & alliance MMA is quickly becoming the best strategy camp in the business. If they got Alexander Gustafson in a position to beat Jones I don't see why they can't execute a great game plan for THE REAL champion Cruz.

So pumped to see the most overlooked ufc champ back in action.

Little guys gettin' some super bowl weekend ppv love

I am super stoked for Barao/Cruz. Both guys are just so well rounded and tough. Gonna be such an intense fight.

Aldo/Lamas is great too. A little later than I had hoped but glad they're still putting the deserving guy in there. WAR LAMAS

The thing i love most about Barao vs Cruz becoming a reality, not other than the fact that Cruz is my favorite MMA fighter, is that although Barao is on an unstoppable unbeaten win streak, i Believe he is very beatable.

Since Barao won the belt against Faber, he has defended it to both Eddie Wineland and Michael McDonald who without doubt are good fighters, but not champion material in my own humble opinion. Cruz is such as smart gamer, like GSP would only come back and fight when he knows he is 100% and he said he is back to full fitness.

I'm not knocking Barao at all, he is an awesome fighter and i am sure his win streak is not due to luck, he obviously trains hard and has earned his place. Although he has a good Jab, i think his head movement is terrible and when he swings wild punched, his chin is always up in the air. I would like to think Cruz has studied all this and coming back 100% fit, he will give Barao his toughest test yet.

For my money, Cruz is a great champion with little recognition due to inconsistencies in his career, but fully fit against Barao, a win there would get him the recognition he deserves.

War Cruz, i hope he does it !!

Cruz wont be as fast as he once was..2 major knee injuries is never a good sign in any sport..and those leg kicks will def slow Cruz movement due to the knee injuries and the power behind the kicks from Barao..i give Cruz a advantage in wrestling and movement, angles and boxing..but damn 2 knee injuries back to back will def take movement outta his spring and he relies on his movement and burst to set up his boxing..but Barao also got good boxing and striking defense..i picture Barao getting some kinda finish most likely a sub.
