For now, it appears Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney isn't jumping out of his promoter's chair to sign Yushin Okami – though he isn't completely dismissing the potential to sign the former UFC title challenger, either.

Yushin would easily beat Shlemenko for the Bellator MW strap and if Okami's choice is to sign with the WSOF he will end up the MW Champ of that organization in my opinion also. I guess what I'm getting at is Yushin FUCKIN Okami belongs in the UFC.

He'd be an idiot if he didn't jump all over Okami.

I hate to see Okami get screwed again but it looks that way. Rebhey is obviously trying to low-ball Okami here.

If you look at the fighters that Bellator have picked up from the UFC, none of them are world contenders, they are all fighters who are probably past their best or aren't UFC title contender types. Because Bellator don't want the UFCs outcasts coming in and making all of Bellators guys looking inferior to the UFC.

So I don't believe that Bellator will pick up Okami as he would beast their MW division. Likewise I don't think Okami would want one of those Bellator contracts either if he wants to get back to the UFC at some point.

I think he's better off in KSW or WSOF really or probably most likely ONE FC.

It's funny IMO, How Dana the other day is all like "I'll never buy bellator" fast forward 2/3 years from now...headline : Zuffa Purchases BFC....... Same with Rebney with no interest in UFC guys....few weeks from now...Okami signs with Bellator for upcoming MW tourney or something...but who knows with him being a Japan guy he may go somewehere overseas closer to home...but he does Train in usa...so hard to tell..

I just wish Bjorn and Dana would both stop the pissing contests over stupid mostly hypothetical shit at this point in time.

And make no mistake I am a Dana fan, Sure i see through some of his BS and the eventual smoke he blows up our asses, But for the most part he does try and give what us a fans want... Compare that to the other big 4 commissioners and Dana is much better and much more real...and i respect that.... I'd love to see Gooddell come out and say...You know the CFL is fucking lame and we have no interest in what they do...But they don't they try and be all PC while making bank and fucking up the sports.

Personally if Okami was to join Bellator I think he'd struggle to get through the tournament format, it assumes he'll be able to fight 3 times in 3 months. The kind of fighter that Okami is relies on him really dominating his opponent and stylistically he is prepared to go for 15 minutes.

Going 15 minutes 3 times in 3 months is hard work. In my opinion, he'd get caught. Someone like Doug Marshall, Brett Cooper has really nothing to lose. Why not just go for broke like Boetsch did, try everything in your power to land the big bomb.

Avoiding the big bomb for 45 minutes.....

I like somebodies chances to make a name for themselves.
