But the doctors were going to stop the fight in the fourth, you gotta make the champ earn his belt back IMO otherwise you diminish any other contenders should they win, and you risk losing the rematch value should one of them lose.

It's MMA in the Chael Sonnen era...with this shit going on lately I wouldn't be shocked to see Goulet get a title shot.

I think he does, because I thought he won the 1st three rounds and the fight was good enough for a compelling rematch. That being said, I thought Melendez won the first three rounds against Henderson and people didn't seem to clamor for an immediate rematch then.

No, because Teixeira was promised the next shot at the belt.

If the stats reflect that the correct fighter won there is no way you can call it a robbery. Find it funny anytime some people disagree with the out come of a fight its a robbery.

Yes. Rematch.

If anything I think Glover should have to beat Gustafsson before he gets a chance at Jones. That Jones and Gustafsson fight blew the Mayweather fight out of the water.

It pains me to say this but, YES

I thought Gus was better on the cards for 5 rounds or just taking in the fight as a whole. Gustafsson is better then Jones. I'm not screaming robbery or anything, the fight was close, but I disagree with the appointed judges scores.

It warrants a rematch.

Hate to say it because I wanted Glover to fight for the belt and Jones in particular, had Glover to beat him before and yep, still have no problem saying I'd pick him in the future.

1 Gustafssen
2 Jones
3 Teixiera
4 Machida
5 Hendo
6 Evans
7 Sonnen
8 Davis
9 Lawal
10 Shogun

With a Machida drop to 185 and after DC annihilates Nelson, replace Machida with DC.

I was on board the "immediate Gus is the new champ" band wagon but upon re-watching the fight, it is my opinion Jones edged Gus in that fight.

I thought Jones won convincingly (thought it was close), and Teixeira definitely deserves the next shot.
