A bantamweight matchup between Erik Perez and Edwin Figueroa has been added to November's UFC 167 event.

UFC officials today announced the pairing.

Featuring a welterweight title fight between champ Georges St-Pierre and challenger Johny Hendricks, UFC 167 takes place Nov. 16 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and the main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and Facebook. Figueroa (9-3 MMA, 2-3 UFC) vs. Perez (13-5 MMA, 3-1 UFC) is likely to be part of the preliminary card.

After Erik Perez beat Byron Bloodworth he was signed to a3 fight deal. I think this is the perfect fight for him to go out there and get the finish.Perez nearly best Mizugaki his last time out. And Figueroa barely beat Bruce LeeRoy by Split Decision only after Caceres got a2 point deduction. So he could've been packing his bags riding a3 fight streak.Perez should be able to send him to the minors.

I think Perez is better on paper, but anything can happen in MMA.
