this is NOT a back-handed title. if you read it closely, it says 'Ridiculous one-dimensional' champ Askren... there's apostrophes around ridiculous one-dimensional, meaning he was probably using that phrase sarcastically, as sort of mocking those out there who have been vocal about Ben Askren being "one-dimensional". so that's why he said that. and as for how good Askren could be, i also will agree that he would have a hard time staying in the top 10. in my opinion, his ground and pound isn't really that vicious for being a pure wrestler. he's got ZERO stand-up. if he gets cracked while on the feet, that's all it takes to slow down his TD's, and if he can't get those TD's, he's pretty much screwed cuz there's a LOT of good strikers in the welterweight division. he WISHES he could be the next Jon Fitch.
