I think Glover Teixeira and "Jacare" Souza just earned title shots.

Jacare and Silva won't fight each other...Weidman needs to retire Silva

I'm basing my statement on the assumption that Jones and Weidman both retain their belts.

Happy for Souza, but why even have a back of the head rule anymore? The majority of those shots were landing behind the ear. Many fight ending flurries consist of many back of the head shots. I don't mean to complain, because aside from punching a face down opponent directly in the back of the head, I think the rule is unnecessary. But, fighters get away with it too much during fight ending flurries.

There's a disagreement about what constitutes the back of the head. Those shots were only illegal if you go by the "earmuffs" rule, not the "Mohawk" rule.

Mohawk rule makes more sense because really the only area they are trying to protect is the place where the spine connects to the skull. Hitting the back of the skull isn't really worse than hitting the top of the skull. Hitting behind the hear, while it may mess with your balance for a bit, also isn't super dangerous or anything.
