As far as post-fight callouts go, Ben Rothwell’s after his win over Brandon Vera on Saturday was not the most succinct, but it did get a reaction. However, that reaction could not have been the one that Rothwell was hoping to illicit.

I have nothing against Rothwell vs Browne at all. Two giants throwing down count me in.

The choices are Werdum, DC, Browne, Miocic, Roy, Bigfoot. Big Ben wanted Overeem, so Browne makes sense. I wonder if Big Ben is strictly a brawler now, and I wonder if his recent losses against Gonzaga and Hunt will hold him back.

Browne is a different animal than Big Ben.
No offense but this fight would be an easy 11 pts.
Browne is probably only 1 fight away from a title shot so this makes no sense to me.

Agreed.

Rothwell isn't that good...I like the guy, but beating Vera doesn't mean he could even compete with brown. Rothwell just needs to focus on getting back to back wins, something he hasn't done in a while. He should fight soa in my opinion

I wouldn't mind seeing the fight, but Rothwell's not even in the top ten while I believe Browne is currently ranked at number five, so I'd rather see Barnett/Rothwell first. That'd probably be just as good of a scrap anyways.

I personally like Rothwell vs. Bigfoot/ I know big foot is coming off a loss, but he is a higher ranked fighter and I think it would be a good brawl. Someone would get KOd

Rothwell vs Vera was boring as hell. Vera and his coaches should be ashamed of how that fight went down. Vera didn't block with his left at all, and stayed close to the cage and barely moved when Ben closed in. Rothwell should of finished this fight sooner IMO. If Browne Rothwell happened, this would be a win for Browne. Rothwell has a chin, ill give him that. But I just do not see Ben doing anything with his career while with the UFC moving forward. In the past 5 years he hasn't beaten anyone close to the top 10. Who do we have Schaub and Vera, that's nothing to get excited about.

Browne deserves better and he knows it...give Rothwell a rematch with Nelson?
