Josh Barnett will be returning to the UFC after an 11-year absence to take on fellow former heavyweight champion Frank Mir in Milwaukee on Saturday night.

With nine wins in his last ten fights, Barnett is clearly still a force to be reckoned with in the heavyweight division. More than that, he believes he is still the champion because he hasn’t lost a fight in the Octagon since winning the title at UFC 36...

I don't see this fight ending early and suspect Barnett may get outpointed here...Mir has much better stand up and his tdd may be just enough to keep the fight where he needs it to be, if Barnett gets him to the ground he will be able to smother and pepper Mir to a decision.

Fortunately for me I can't stand either guy, so I just want to see one of them get KTFO.

If not then yes, please, let one of their arms break

Im really looking forward to this fight. Mir does have the edge standing though, however i suspect it might turn into a grappling match.

Im gonna watch either way

i think Mir will make the match look more painful then DC did..Mir has the better striking and power then Josh, and Mir 2.0 should be able to stop Josh TD attempts..i'm actually looking for to this match as i really think Mir can get the finish..and Josh has been around a long time and i think the wear will show..

I hope someone can find a real advantage when the time comes whether its td or striking. I have a sneaking suspicion this fight will involve a lot of leaning

Damn, why do so many think Mir has far better striking? Josh's isn't stellar but Mir isn't much better if actually better at all. I think Mir loses this fight anywhere it takes place.

This may be Mir vs nelson all over again.
Mir trt approved may have the edge. I'm still debating who to pick. If Barnett wins he could be one win away from a title shot. I do think winner faces werdum

The only place Barnett has an advantage is in delusions of grandeur...which is saying something against Mir.

lol...i love Mir but i'm not sure he wins this if it goes beyond round 1. His power, stamina and gameplan seem to go out the window after round 1.

Seems like everyone is sleeping on Mirs cardio. It's still crap. With even cardio I'd give Mir the decision win. I don't think either guy finishes the other unless Mir gases badly. Barnett by decision as Mir fades as the fight goes on.
