A new fighter has been added to the list of MMA competitors with permission to use testosterone-replacement therapy (TRT).

My god hypogonadism is rampant in MMA! TRT exemptions are a f*&%ing joke. I don't really care but lets call them what they are, a loophole for cheaters. In case no one has heard that statement before.

Yeah, why does the rate of hypogonadism in mma just happen to be like 1000% above the norm? They seriously need to stop this, they're not fooling anyone.

Like it or not, til they change the rules, trt exemptions are not for cheaters.

When a TUE is approved by a commission, its basically retroactively approving prior cheating and abuse. Taking away the consequences from abuse earlier in their athletic carreers. I've ranted about TRT many times and wont bother again, but with more and more fighters applying for TUE's it just has to stop somewhere.

Allright Dana, if the commissions wont protect the credibility of the sport which you profit from, then it falls to the UFC to straight out ban TRT. Make a bold move UFC, the commissions arent doing you any favors so you better start looking out for the future health of the sport and your company.

The only time I would see the UFC going against any commission rulings would be in the instance of a fighter getting brutally injured from an incompetent referee or if there were a blatant bad decision in a major title fight.

Yes the TRT is legal, but if you're 30ish and you have drastically low testosterone levels, it's pretty much a given that you've been doing steroids in the past which is cheating and getting away with it. These guys are clearly doctor shopping and it sucks for guy's that are clean. Hopefully they stop giving these out in the future.
