Wow that's crazy, didn't think it would actually pass.
That's really silly imo. I can't think of too many logical reasons to bad kids from attending a sporting event

Since this ordinance has been passed, it should also include NFL and NHL games too. Since NFL and NHL are more dangerous to the players and promote violence on the field too. Along with any future boxing matches or WWE wrestling events since both organization promote violence similar to UFC.

The ordinance should be across the whole board, rather then choose what sports are acceptable or what sports are not acceptable.

If not, then this ordinance is being hypocritical and needs to be taken out

I'm Pissed anyone on here who has known me knows iv been a huge mma fan since I was 15. I joined here years ago and learned a lot and a few years later the ufc came to Boston. I was there and spent 2 days at the fan expo as a huge fan and a knowledgeable one at that. The fact that that my city that I love and have lived in my whole life has allowed this is fucking outrageous. Its an insult to mma fans and minors that they believe if your under 16 and see a fight you wont be able to process it and somehow become a wild animal is just an insult to a lot of great kids intelligence, and without being over dramatic mma saves more lives than it will ever hurt.I sat through round the clock coverage of people covered in blood on my tv at work while two scumbag terrorist were on the run and had nothing but support and respect for my city but this is enough to make me sick of a place I love

sorry for ranting but I cant stomach this shit

I personally don't have much of a problem with this ordinance.

Its not like kids under 16 don't need an adult to go see an R rated movie, why should going to see live fights be any different.

If they were banned from going all together I'd be grabbing a pitchfork with everyone else but I don't think making kids under 16 have an adult accompany them to a UFC event is that big of a deal.

As Prozac said, how many kids under 16 go to a UFC event on their own anyways?

The headline led me to believe all minors were banned with or without an adult, but knowing that they can still attend with an adult is fine by me. Like others have pointed out, it's not like many kids 16 and under will be attending UFC events by themselves anyways.

With that said, I still think Boston is fucked.

I have no issues with it personally. They're not banned outright. They're just required to have adult supervision, which is good. The majority of kids under 16 *need* adult supervision.
