Bellator MMA has released strawweight Jessica Aguilar and flyweight Jessica Eye, effectively killing off the women’s side of the sport in the promotion.

Good. Bellator's WMMA is pretty much non existent. They'll find better homes somewhere else.

I thought they were both already in Invicta

Just goes to show how badly Bellator screwed themselves. They could've done a lot with their Women's Division. The demand was there, when Bellator gave the fans a choice of picking a fight to televise, they chose a WMMA bout over three different men's matches. I think that was the only WMMA bout Bellator televised in close to two years.

Edit: And now that I think about it some more, I think the fight that was voted on was actually Aguilar vs. Eye

Too light for the UFC right now, but they definitely have the talent.

Jessica Eye could move up to bantamweight if she wanted a shot in the UFC, but for now I bet they'll both go to Invicta, which is still awesome
Is the next event for Invicta already scheduled?

It makes sense as they were the last two women in Bellator, and how refreshing that the fighters pay respect to the organisation that has paved their careers. Both would be welcome and good additions to both Invicta and the UFC in my opinion

Sucks for Aguilar because she competes at a lower weight class, but Eye is listed at 130 on Sherdog, so if she can bulk I think she would do well in the UFCs 135 division.
