That didn't take long. Jorge Masvidal moved to 2-0 in the UFC on Saturday, and he's already got his next assignment.

Masvidal (25-7 MMA, 2-0 UFC) has been booked for a lightweight fight against Rustam Khabilov (16-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC). FUEL TV's "UFC Tonight" correspondent Ariel Helwani reported the news as part of Tuesday night's episode.

The fight reportedly will take place in November on a yet-to-be-announced FOX Sports 1 card.

I didn't see this fight coming at all but I like it. Let's see how legit Khabilov really is.

I like how much cage time he's getting with the UFC. Depending on what happens in the Khabilov fight, he'll probably get 4 fights in this year.

Masvidal looked very shaky against Chiesa in the opening round, and almost got KTFO, before experience took over. If he opens the same, Khabilov will own him

I think this is a fairly even matchup. I think it will be both men's toughest UFC fight so far.

I personally see a huge difference in this match up, Khabilov has not fought guys who are anywhere near the quality of Masvidal. I think if he avoids the big punk he is simply going to outclass Khabilov.

Its funny how just about a year ago no one was giving any of the strike force fighters any weight in the division's. I think Gill and josh are definitely top 5. And Masvidal is knocking on the door. I just remember reading forms and hearing " josh and gill could even hang with anyone in the top 10 let alone the top 5 in the UFC. Haha and with pat healy looks like they got two top 5 fighters and two right out side

I like it. Masvidal is very established and a big step up for Rustam, but Khabilov has demonstrated he is very dangerous and can be dominant if given the chance. Really looking forward to this.

PS lol at Barbosa. Gamebred isn't scared.

Yeah, people always do that. MMA fans in a general sense are fickle and uninformed, to most UFC>MMA.
