Paul Daley and Maiquel Falcao are no longer under contract with Bellator. Today, the promotion suddenly announced a decision to release the welterweight and middleweight fighters, who've both landed in trouble with the law after reported assaults.

Good way to handle business IMO. War Machine better take note!

I agree.

As much as I like watching both of these fighters, I think Bellator made a good decision here.

What took so long with falcao? You would think with his history that his most recent offense would have had him canned the second it was reportted.

Wait - Bellator is RELEASING someone with a criminal record rather than promoting the shit out of them (War Machine, Brett Rogers, Dan McGuane).

What changed?

My first thought was "Things are not good when you lose your job before War Machine."

He was on the prelims, and a convicted murderer.

Warmachine has paid his debt to society.

Bellator did end up pulling him from one of their cards, though.

I remember an article about it being posted on MMA Junkie and I was shocked to see all of the people replying to the article basically saying that McGuane should be allowed to fight and that he's "paid his dues" and all that bullshit. That's just disgusting. If the guy's a murderer he sure as hell shouldn't be fighting for Bellator.

I'm glad Daley is gone.

Anyone who attempts a cheap shot on their opponent after getting dominated shouldn't be competing in MMA IMHO.

He's exciting to watch, but man, he's still got a lot of growing up to do.
