Less than three weeks after pulling off an upset in his UFC debut, Brian Melancon knows when he'll be going back to work. He'll meet Kevin Gastelum at UFC Fight Night 27 next month in Indianapolis.

Poor guy. Treats all the TUF cast members with respect, tells his compelling story with genuine pathos, and beats up a scary kickboxer to win the contract, and even journalists can't get his name right.

Nice fight, Melancon could easily become the dark horse of the division if he wins here
Going from unknown to legitimate within the Summer would be pretty amazing.

I'm actually pumped for this. Two guys I know nothing about who looked awesome in their debuts. Pulling for Melancon!

I really like this fight. Meloncon absolutely trashed Bazynski in his debut like he was the vet and Seth was the green new guy in the wrong place. I think Brian is very live in this fight, Kelvin isn't bad, but I keep hearing he is better then I've seen of him myself.

I hate to disagree but Melancon can wrestle too.

I'm gonna have to side with Melancon over Kelvin. Melancon was very impressive in his win over Baczynski.

I love this matchup....

The matchup against Paulo Thiago in his true UFC debut (non TUF) coupled with his first ever cut to 170 seemed liked the toughest matchup in TUF winner history...

P. Thiago is horribly inconsistent but far to experienced for the likes of a TUF winner, Melancon is still pretty formidable but more on Kelvin's level...

I'll still gun for Gastelum, but I wouldn't put money on him
