Most fighters riding a 5 fight streak with two top 10 wins would be itching for a title shot. While Swanson would like to contend for the strap in his next bout, he's not going to let that hold him back if it means sitting out for too long.

I think it's smart. In this game few are perfect and everytime you go out there you'll learn something, everytime you train you will improve and everytime you put on fights like his last 5 fights your gonna gain fans and become more popular. Cubs a fighter like Chuck, he won't duck fight's and I like that he wants to fight Aldo and Lamas.

Edgar vs Swanson right now would be a war and I think thats the fight thats coming soon.

Mendes needs to be in the mix here too. Some combination of Cub, Lamas, Edgar, and Mendes should happen

I think they need to do Cub v Lamas rematch for number one contender. Especially bc no one here got to see their first fight. Plus Lamas got dicked over when KZ was given the title shot. Lamas took out bigger names IMO.

Any combination of these fights would be good.

Ditto. At this point they could but on an all Featherweight PPV card and I wouldn't have any complaints.

I'm also glad airkerma mentioned Mendes. He could be the best one out of this bunch of contenders. But for that matter who really knows who's the best between Mendes, Edgar, Cub and Lamas.

Give him Edgar.

Lamas is by far the most deserving for the next shot....seriously who else does this guy have to beat to get it???

This is how I feel. Lamas is the number one contender in my eyes. Aldo already beat Edgar, Swanson and Mendes so in my opinion Lamas should be getting the next title shot.

I do like how he says he will settle for Edgar. I think Swanson and Llamas are the guys in the title discussion. Not Edgar, not Mendez. The winner of Guida vs Mendez should fight Edgar for a shot after Llamas vs Swanson winner or both if they don't fight each other. But it would be a well warranted rematch at this point.

My guess is cub may get Edgar.
Or someone like nik Lentz or bermundez

Cub should be a win away from shot.

Don't be surprised if Jan there is a Brazil ppv
With aldo title fight.

Ufc knows they have a log jam. Needs aldo to defend asap

Swanson vs. Edgar headlining a Fox Sports 1 card in the fall sounds pretty good to me.

I love the attitude, he wants the champ but understands the situation he is in and mentions a couple of guys he would like to fight...that is a good way to call people out without making a beef.
