Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva already is a 2-to-1 favorite over the man who just took his title, Chris Weidman, should a potential rematch happen.

Nothing surprising there. Silva was showing him up until he got way to cocky.

I think Anderson will win the rematch, but I wouldn't go so far as to say he was showing him up.

I think he was attempting to with his showboating and antagonizing, but Weidman won the first round handily before finishing him early in the 2nd.

Yeah, the fight was not very good, but Chris won the first round. Silva really won nothing in the fight, but Chris didn't exactly accomplish too much either until winning.

The odds are pretty close to what they were on Saturday night, 2.5-1 I think was Silva's advantage? But not to surprising I guess if one is assuming Silva will actually make an effort not to be a complete idiot in the cage next time.

I think this is fair but its unfortunate.

I was really hoping for better odds on Anderson. Maybe the folks on the playground will still help me out by picking Weidman in absurd numbers.

That won't be determined until the rematch is over

I know I was thinking the same thing. Anderson just lost his fire! He himself was saying he was tired of defending the belt. And this automatic rematch put him right back where he doesn't want to be.still the favorite. still a 5 round fight and still against one of the toughest middleweights in the world. All the pressure is on him! I love how people think Anderson going to kill him in this rematch. Or how people our saying Anderson was winning the fight until he got caught. Lol.what has changed since this last fight. athough I don't think he will be acting like a ass in this next fight i still think he's going to come up short! He needed a fight that takes away all the pressure not puts is all right back on his shoulders!

One fight and it's all over. GSP should've retired after Hughes armbarred him.

It really is pathetic (& more importantly unfortunate to Chris) that he needs the rematch more then Anderson to solidify his place. He beat Anderson the man but thanks to fans "Anderson" the legend still can't be touched. I hope for Weidman's sake Silva takes the rematch, not that he should still have to prove himself to you folks.

P.s even though I'm talking down Anderson fans I still strongly believe

Really? What fight were you watching? Weidman was winning the second round and definitely won the first. Get over it guys Weidman will defeat him again in the rematch and this time by submission. Weidman's the better fighter and much hungrier, Silva will retire after he gets subbed by Weidman in February and you guys will still make excuses. Just deal with it
