I think the people saying he doesn't deserve a rematch are more or less worried he will fight smarter this time and rule the division another 7 years.

I'd have to rewatch the fight because I was a bit tipsy by that point, but if I remember correctly Weidman had him down for less than two minutes. Wediman landed a few solid shots on top and then had a close sub.

After that, Anderson got back to his feet and the fight was in his realm. He was landing leg/body kicks and controlling the fight.

Again, I'm not gonna say I agree with Rosales here but I definitely don't think Weidman dominated that round by any stretch of the imagination.

Or virtually any other mma news in history . Seriously, I hate ESPN's attitude towards mma.

I'd say I gave a fairly accurate play by play. What part do you disagree with?

That he was controlling the fight. Weidman out struck Silva, took him down, passed and had a sub attempt. Not sure what Silva had done to win that round, that he got out of the sub and stood up, used some leg kicks doesnt negate what Weidman did to win that round.

I remember reading an explanation from on judge on how he scores fights. He said if the majority of the round took place on the feet, then the round winner is the one who gets the better of the striking. If the majority of the fight takes place on the mat, he scores it for the guy who got the better of the grappling.

Perhaps it was from Rosenthal. I can't remember.

so if 4 minutes was Hamill/Hollett for Fighter A and Fighter B for the other minute is Siver/Phan, then Fighter A wins the round?
