just thought I would share a new addition to my family that we got from a rescue today. Backstory, had to put my dog of 9 years down a month ago and new it was gonna end that way a few months prior. So after long talks with my wife, about what we wanted etc.

That was her first notice of the cat we have. Puppy is very intrigued and interested in the Cat, Cat does not feel the same way

It was between Lucy and Chessie - short for Chesapeake. Always have liked that name for some reason and my 5 yr old got to pick the name, after we said no to his initial choice of "Giant Dog", went with Chessie

My friend had a black lab while we were growing up. They're great dogs. This one is really cute.

Labs are great dogs, just make sure to give her a lot to chew on. It will take a while for her to get the rules of the home concerning what to chew on most likely, at least that was the case for my chocolate pit bull mix.

labs are great dogs. i have had many labs and retrievers in my lifetime. she'll no doubt be great dog
