The MMA landscape would look a lot different today if it weren't for increasing the time limit of important fights to 25 minutes. For example: Sonnen would have a championship under his belt and Silva would have a huge blemish on his record.
Making these fights longer has been crucial in deciding who is the better martial arist. Without this change, there would probably be more wrestlers than finishers holding the belts.

Do you think title fights should be even longer (7 rounds maybe)?
Regardless of your opinion, do you think they will eventually make title fights longer as the sport progresses?

Making important fights even longer may cause fighters to fight less frequent, but I am still for it.
I think eventually, as the sport continues to grow, title fights will be extended to at least 7 rounds.
In my own perfect world, I would love to see title fights go until someone is finished (although medical reasons may prohibit it).

What are yall opinions on it?

I disagree. I believe Silva would have attempted that sub sooner if the fight was shorter. Also would have been turned into a NC and Sonnen stripped of his title for CHEATING.

I like 5 round fights for main events and title fights

I don't think it's possible to assume Silva purposley waited that long to lock the sub, and had it been 3 rounds he would of done it sooner. Nothing to back that with at all.
And yeah, Sonnen still would've been stripped regardless, but Silva's reign wouldn't be the same.

I think a fight should be until one fighter gets the finish

Laying on people is nothing if they get back up and knock you out.

You definitely bring up an interesting point but I have to agree with the two above me and say ya I like how it is right now.
7 rounds of MMA on the body would be absolutely excruciating and can't even imagine someone to not get exhausted by then.
To answer your other question, it is tough to say if they'll ever change it but I don't see any problems arising anytime soon and I think it'll stay as it is.

You could propose the same argument to professional hockey, football etc. What if quarters in the NBA we're 5 minutes longer? Or they added another inning to baseball? Sure we would see different outcomes, have different champions, etc. but do we really need to? The sport already pushes each fighter to their limits and whether a 3 or 5 round fight they have enough time for each guy to show their true skill so I just see it staying the way that's worked for years.
Just my 2 cents.

In general I don't see the need for this, but it would make sense for the 125 and maybe 135 guys. I only say that because those fights are a lot closer and pretty tough to clearly say who won, not to mention they can keep going all night. However, I don't think you can make just some of the weight classes have 7 round fights in which case I'd say keep it at 5 rounds.

I could even see up to 155 going 7. It would weed out a lot of talented fighters who don't put in the cardio. It would deter mass weight cuts for any class. In boxing they agree to the rounds correct? Working under the boxing commissions I'm sure it could be done. I think 3 rounds is too short.

Could you imagine seeing Silva vs maia for another two rounds or against leites. Fuck no
5 rounds are perfect. Hendo vs Evans should have been 5

I would like to see 30-minute title fights like Pancrase originally had.

except that it was a late replacement for a main event, you should know that

I disagree with your Wandy comments.
But I do agree we should have more rounds/time in fights.
Pride at least had it right to some degree with having 1-10 min round in their fights.
Way to many fights are being left in these judges hands, where half the judges have no clue what they are even scoring most of the time. So if we can avoid fights going to decisions, we at least as "fans" would have less to bitch about and enjoy MMA more. Also the sport would benefit in a big way, as would organizations.
