Think he can?

I Think he's going to jump up to heavyweight soon if he doesn't love his title. If he beats Gustafsson then he'll probably only do a superfight at 205 or just jump up t heavyweight. It'd be great to see that and I think that he can actually become champ at heavyweight. JDS and Cain will be the two biggest problems for him though. But if anyone can do this and also beat Anderson Silva it's Jon Jones

its possible i guess. but i think cain would win that battle. i think if jon wants to cement any kind of legacy he needs to keep doing what he's doing at LHW. he can worry about HW belts in a few years IF he is still champ at LHW. i think there are some fights that need to happen at LHW way before he moves weight classes. glover texiera, gustafson, machida II are a few off the top of my head.

There are still a couple fights after Gustafsson for Jon Jones at LHW. The biggest of which will be Daniel Cormier, who will be dropping after one more fight at HW, which hopefully still is against Roy Nelson if he doesn't jump to Bellator. The other LHW's id' like to see him fight if they win their next fights are Phil Davis who faces Lyoto Machida and Glover Teixera who just signed to fight Ryan Bader. As for Heavyweights when he moves up, Id' bet on Travis Browne beating Jon Jones as well as the big two in Cain & JDS.

Not at this point, we haven't really seen Jon Jones face guy's bigger then him or have close to the same reach as him.. I think he could potentially get hit more at HW, and his lack of striking power at LHW could cost him at HW.

Then again he would have a awesome gas tank, and he already trains with HW's.

I don't see him moving until his body demands it.

He definitely has more LHW fights first but when this happens I don't think he will be able to beat the likes of Cain or JDS but, GOOD NEWS, he doesn't train with either of them so we won't hear the "oh we're just friends" crap

Yes, he can do it. He just needs to make sure that Gustafsson doesn't uppercut his mouth guard into his brain first. He is going to get hit in the face a lot more at heavyweight, but I'm sure that is something he would be prepared for. Jon Jones is a fucking animal.

Jone Jones would lose often....his lack of knockout power and the fact that he wouldn't manhandle smaller guys would be a major detriment to him.

When he decides to make the permanent move up to heavyweight he will probably come in at around 230lbs, but will still have skinny legs & be at a strength disadvantage. I don't think there is any way he could beat JDS or Cain and I would be on the fence as to his chances against Browne or Overeem. The rest I think he could handle relatively easily, but i'm still on the fence as to his odds against Cormier at LHW if that comes to fruition. I would definitely pick Cormier at HW, but he may just be too drained after cutting 30lbs knowing of his Olympic struggles.

Yes he could, but I don't see it happening in the near future.

He'd need to take a couple fights against smaller fighters so he could beef up. luckily he has a big frame so its doable

I don't know if he could.
I do think he should test the waters out though
