There's a few fighters I haven't heard anything about for a while. I've looked them up and they don't have any fights or anything lined up so I'm wondering if any of you guys have heard anything.

Sean Sherk - Last fought Sept 2010

Claude Patrick - Last fought Dec 2011

Tony Ferguson - Last fought May 2012

Yoshihiro Akiyama - Last fought Feb 2012

Brian Ebersole - Last fought July 2012

I heard Sherk was confident he would be back by early 2013. He might as well retire at this point.

I feel the same way. It will be tough for him to make a strong comeback after being off for this long.

Ebersol should still be contracted, same with Tony. Akiyama will probably go back to JMMA for his retirement fight(s), Patrick and Sherk are as good as retired, they just haven't come out and announced it for some reason.

I'm pretty sure you are right.

I met one of Tony Furguson's friends at a pool tourney and he said Tony broke his arm during the Michael Johnson fight during the 1st round. I remember at the time Ferguson was suppose to run thru Johnson and didn't look good at all during that fight. So it makes since to me but I don't know for sure how true it is but I bought the story.

And then Johnsons next fight he was getting handled by Danny Castillo, and he caught Castillo with that shot that ended the fight and hasn't done anything but lose since. Two fights Johnson could've lost that made so many of usthink he was on to great things.

1-4 in the UFC and his last fight he was outstruck 91-33 against Jake Shields.
When Jake Shield's beating you in the stand up department.... You should go into hiding to save you from embarrasement.

He's still waiting for the heat to cool down.

Akiyama is probably being saved for a japanese card if he's still on the roster. Those Japanese fighters always seem to have nine lives. I read the other day that yamamoto is planning for another fight and he's 0-3 in the ufc I believe.
