Top UFC lightweight contender T.J. Grant better hope Anthony Pettis doesn't get his wish.

Get the fuck out of here with this shit I'm tired of this now. Stop asking for title shots people earn them and when you finally do actually take them.

That's not how it works bro, if you hadn't have wanted to cut in line at 145 you'd already be there. I'm just as interested in Grant/Henderson at this point
I say have him fight Josh Thomson if he really is going to be good for around then, maybe at UFC 165.

Yikes. Pretty sad that JakeWalters posted about this a few days ago and now we're actually looking towards a future where he is correct.

Not long before Grant slips on a Banana Peel.

I completely agree. It's bullshit to even suggest this imo. He should have just stayed at his actual weight class instead of flip flopping like he is trying to do now.

Ditto. Agree with both of you guys.

At the time i was all for Pettis and thought it was awesome he'd get to fight Aldo. As much as I want to see Pettis again the UFC world shouldn't have to revolve around him.

Grant earned his. WAR TJ GRANT.

Remember when I said Pettis was in a "win-win" situation? Well here you go.

I remember when when everyone disapproved of the Edgar immediate title shot at FeatherWeight. This is much worse IMO, at least Frankie stayed in the Division. I'm pretty sure if Pettis lost to Aldo, he'd go right back to Lightweight.

Yeah, this is pretty ridiculous. Pettis needs to make a decision and stick with it.

In the end, though, I don't think Dana will let Pettis take Grant's place.

I think a rematch between Henderson and Pettis would be awesome.

Pettis needs to relax on what he wants (fight wise)and more on staying healthy!!

Of course, I don't think anyone would be unhappy to actually see that fight happen again, but it'd be completely unreasonable to take Grant's title shot away at this point just to give it back to Showtime all because he hurt his leg and then changed his mind about which division he wants to have his title shot.

I'm a Showtime fan, but the guy needs to make a decision and stick with it.
