Although UFC President Dana White has pressed hard for the fighter's retirement, B.J. Penn apparently is looking for another fight, and it'd likely come at lightweight.

God, I hope so. There are a ton of interesting match ups for him there.

I will always watch B.J. Penn fight. He's just one of those guys that could battle the flu and I would tune in. That being said, he probably should hang it up, get inducted in the UFC HoF and take a job as Executive/Director/VP of Athlete Development/Fighter Relations/Operations or something along those lines. Take your pick. I just can't help but think of the look on his face after the Diaz and MacDonald fights. He looked dejected and spent. Not like a fighter normally looks after taking a loss. B.J. looked like he had enough.

With his standing in the UFC vs his ranking who would he fight?

I'd love to see BJ come back but only if its the BJ he used to be. He looked lost in his fights against Frankie and then other than his KO against Hughes he has been on a huge slide. I hope he doesnt come back to get his ass kicked. I want him back and I want to see him do well.

As much as i enjoy watching B.J. fight, i wish he would retire. The lightweight division is so tougher for him than when he was champion. Although at least he realizes he can't compete with the top welterweights anymore.

I'd like to see him have a go at Maynard or even Lil Diaz if he decides to stay at LW.

If there's a circumstance where Dana would endorse BJ continuing to fight, it's BJ at LW.

See I think those are the guys he would not want to fight, Diaz's Big Bro put a stank ass whooping on him and Maynard would wreslte him down constantly...I would think he would want a fight with a guy more like Ross Pearson, or Cowboy etc...

I can see the argument for Nate given what his brother did to BJ, but historically BJ does well against wrestlers thanks to his exceptional TDD, which has always looked better at LW than WW. I think if the BJ that showed up to fight was the BJ that was LW champ, or at least 3/4 of that BJ, I'd pick him over Maynard. If it's the guy Diaz and Macdonald whooped, I'd pick Maynard.
