I think his contract expired and he chose not to renew it, but I could be wrong

Another great addition to Bellator's weak HW division. Kongo is never going to be a Champion but, he will always be a dangerous match up with his knockout power.

Remember a few months ago when Rebney said that Bellator wasn't interested in signing former UFC fighters.

It seems dishonesty is a pre-requisite for running an MMA promotion.

What Bellator hw can beat Kongo? I don't think any guy from that division that can.

They signed Sass and Kongo by all means was cut. The UFC went on record saying they didn't want to resign him.

Nice name recognition pick ups for Bellator. Both should do good

Meh: they need straight numbers at HW, next tourney is only a four man in that division.

I like Rebney's strategy, he basically said he won't sign ex-UFC vet's, but when the right opportunity comes along he would. He put emphases on growing from within, and I think that's the smart move, Not sure why guy's are saying he's dishonest he's been on the record saying with the right opportunities he would sign ex-ufc fighters. I don't like how they are holding up Eddie though.

There could be some UFC guys that end up in the end of their reign or contract and we'll take a look at them."
