No surprises here. This should be a good fight. It'll also show where Barnett fits into the division. I hope he gets a win.

Just got off the phone with Josh.....he just hired yours truly to "write" some good promos for him...I replied: "About damn time, now for once in your career, you will come off as RELEVANT."

awesome! This one can totally go either way...I'm thinking I'm leaning Mir but you just never know which Mir shows up

I think Barnett takes it, he's not going to get subbed by Mir, he could get knocked out but more likely he Fitches Mir for a decision.

This is a good match up for a variety of reasons. Barnett isn't the best striker so Mir doesn't have to worry about getting his lights turned out. Mir might even be able to hurt Barnett in a stand up battle. They are matched up very evenly on the ground and just may negate each other. This fight may teeter on the clinch. I think Barnett wins the dirty boxing and clinch fighting. Mir needs to avoid getting stuck up against the cage and he needs to also use a smart but vicious Muay Thai game.

This is a dream style matchup for me. I've been wondering for a long long time which of these guys is better, since I think they're similar in a lot of ways. I think it's Barnett, but we'll see. I think Josh is a bit more well rounded. His jits, wrestling and striking are real solid. Mir's jits is real strong, his striking is solid but I think his wrestling is a bit worse, as well as his stamina. Though he might be able to close that gap with his athleticism and explosiveness.

Awesome matchup, their styles should work out to give a really technical heavyweight fight. Great stuff.

Should be a cakewalk for Barnett.
