At the UFC 160 post-fight press conference, Dana White affirmed his belief that B.J. Penn should retire. He stopped short of saying the same about Rich Franklin though.

Oddly I feel the exact opposite but we'll never see penn at lw again so they probably should both officially retire. I don't need to see franklin face plant again.

Penn is a total meat-bag at 170, I dont understand why he insists to fight at WW. I think its just because he is lazy and doesnt want to cut weight, or even train hard for that matter. White is right, hes too tough for his own good, and too stupid to realize it. CUT WEIGHT OR RETIRE DUMBASS

I think they both could still be relivant in the game, but I would rather see a fighter retire rather than destroy any thing they have built up to that point, I just don't think BJ has the desire it takes to train day in and day out.

Franklin got a few left. Penn well I think he is done.
I wish he would go to lightweight. Got a few matches for him in nate Diaz or miller or Melendez
With griffin retiring.

I just hate it when fighters retire. Sad to see them go.
It does make u appreciate as a fan who attends a lot of
Ufc events the fact of history and seeing it first hand and not on tv. The wars and just great Ufc moments

I'm bummed Bj never got a chance to fight Aoki. I still want to see it even if both are only barely relevant now.
