He had a great run and fought some of the best this sport has to offer. I wish Forrest the best in whatever he has planned next for his journey.

He'll be on the UFC payroll for the rest of his life. At 33 I think he'll fight again. Maybe in two years for the 10 year anniversary of him and Bonnar 1.

The first season of the ultimate fighter reintroduced me to mma. Hard to think that was almost ten years ago.... I was rooting for Forrest the whole time. He seemed like a relatable guy, and he ended up have a cinderella run on the show and to the ufc light heavyweight champion. At a time he was the lineal ufc and pride champion, and he will go down in mma history.

Thanks for the memories, Forrest!

Dana announced that both

Forrest griffin and Stephan bonnar will both be inducted into the hall of fame this July at expo.

Sad to see Forrest retire. Saw three great matches involving him.

First Ufc fight live
Vs shogun. Upset of the year

5 round war with rampage. Still top 5 fight live

Three round completion of a trilogy vs ortiz

Forrest. Thanks for the memories

I can say with no shame that if it wasn't for tuf 1 & the fight between Forrest & Bonnar I may not have became an mma fan, that fight & Griffins success led me to follow the sport as much as I have & this will prob be the hardest retirement left for me to accept in mma (except when BJ officially hangs them up). Thanks for the memories Forrest, & please no trolling since Forrest has so many haters. Let him have his day, although to be fair Tito should interview him farewell haha

Sounds like I'm definitely in the minority.

Good riddance.

Whether he was flighty or self-deprecating, tactical or reckless, Forrest has always been memorable, and it's no overstatement to say he's a big part of why the UFC is where it is today.

Thanks for the memories, kid.

Good ( run Forrest ), have fun in retirement.
I like Forrest, but I would rather see a fighter retire before they spoil any legacy they have put down.
