This is VERY surprising for a number of reasons. First, Josh and Dana White have been butting heads for years. Next, Josh doesn't have a good chance at being champion as he has trouble with strikers with takedown defense and/or better wrestlers. Also, he historically makes a lot of money per fight. Next, his style isn't always particularly exciting since at times he opts for the top control path to victory. Lastly, he's failed PED tests on multiple occasions.

I'd be interested to see the terms of the contract he just signed compared to the one he turned down following the Strikeforce buyout. I'm thinking this one is no better and Barnett only signed after realizing he couldn't do better elsewhere.

Regardless it should be interesting to see how he's booked given his high price tag and less than stellar history.

Everything you've said is true. I'm a fan of Barnett's skill-set and style though, so hopefully they can make it work. I wouldn't sleep on him though he's still probably a top guy.

Excellent! Any additional talent they can put into the thin ranks of hw the better.

Strangely I would really like to see struve vs barnett. It just seems like a very odd matchup

The Warmaster!!!! Very excited to see his return to the UFC, any addition to the UFC's HW division is a good one, especially when it's a personality like his to get things stirred up a bit.

Big Nog vs Warmaster rubber match anyone?? ( I know Big Nog already has a fight scheduled, but the conclusion to these two needs to take place!)
