Sergio Pettis could take a big step up the flyweight rankings when he meets recent UFC bantamweight Jeff Curran in the championship headliner of Resurrection Fighting Alliance 8 on June 21.

Huge step up for Pettis. If Curran doesn't get the fight to the floor, I see him losing another decision though.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in the playground is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no props, and may the mods have mercy on your soul.

Welcome to yet another episode of Jeff Curran plays it safe to lose a decision instead of taking a chance and risk getting stopped.

Same, but I got a feeling Curran wins the decision. To soon for Sergio in my opinion

Oh yeah Lyoto's bro is fighting on the card.

Its not that he's playing it safe. He comes from a traditional jiu jitsu mindset where defense is emphasized over offensive and you have forever to find a submission.

It worked great for him early in his career. Lots of his fights occurred before the unified rules of MMA were implemented.

Now he can't sit around and wait for opportunities. The current 3 five minute rounds system favors aggressive fighters and wrestlers by default.
