NEWARK, N.J. – With his foot in a makeshift boot from a gruesome toe injury suffered at UFC 159, light heavyweight champ Jon Jones (18-1 MMA, 12-1 UFC) said Alexander Gustafsson (15-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) would make a good opponent for his next fight.

once again, IMO, Phil Davis is getting shafted. He beat Gustafsson...Gustafsson is not the top contender...why would Jones do that?

Davis got outgrappled by Rashad. Rashad and Sonnen offered nothing in the wrestling department against Jones.

Wins over Boetsch (85er), Stann (85er), Lil Nog and Vinny doesn't quite warrant a 205 title shot in my opinion.

You need wins over former champions, Rampage, Shogun, Rashad, Machida, Henderson.

Something that both Gustaffason and Glover have, and they both have those victories in there current win streaks.

That was a few years ago man. Things have changed since then.

If this fight happens, I see Jones running through Gus as well. Although Gus has reach as well, Jones is just on a completely different level than anyone not named Anderson Silva

I think Jones wins too. Its just that they both are dominating on an unseen level. I think Jones resume' has more imoressive wins. Sure Anderson beat Chael but not like Jones did. Jones tooled Chael like Chael normally tools his opponents
