I think there should be some fighter code. Granted, if Brown intentionally rained down a bunch of heavy elbows that were blatantly illegal (he didn't), an appeal would be warranted. But, most likely (and not in all cases, of course), if the ref didn't call it, foul play is probably debatable at most. A fight's a fight and in the heat of things, an elbow might hit you in the wrong place. I'm a little tired of these appeals

Gonzaga was out, no denying that and I'm sure Browne just got caught up in the heat of the moment but I thought that the last two were in the back of the head. I don't think that this is going to be overturned or that a rematch would lead to any other outcome then the one Saturday though.

1. 3 strikes to the left ear
2. Gonzago goes unconscious...GIF slowed down to see his body go limp prior to strike 4
3. With Travis holding Gabe's right arm and gravity pulling down the rest of his body, his head turns into the path of strike #4. His body continues to fall and his head continues to rotate.
4. Strikes 4 and 5 land on the right ear

Nothing much else to say. One inadvertent strike to the back of the head isn't gonna get this overturned, especially since he was already KO'd.

I agree you will never get a ruling over turned because your lifeless body turned into the path of a legal strike in just the right way that the strike is now illegal.
